Edwina Parker – Senior Sports Massage Therapist

Full member of the

Sports Massage Association and

Federation of Holistic Therapists.

Edwina has worked as a massage therapist since 2004 when she qualified in Swedish massage followed quickly by a qualification in advanced deep tissue techniques. She then went on to qualify as a Sports Massage Therapist (ITEC Level 4 Diploma). During 2005 she qualified as a Further Education Teacher (C&G 7407) and worked as a tutor at North Hertfordshire College teaching massage to adult learners, and in more recent years she has worked for a private college specialising in small classes.

Edwina regularly works at triathlon, cycling and running events treating amateur and elite athletes such as members of the Team GB. During 2012 she worked for a couple of weeks at Arsenal Football Club which, Edwina says was ‘an amazing experience’.

During her school years Edwina was a keen runner and ran for her school at County level. She gave up running in her 20’s and followed another one of her sporting passions: cycling. At first this was mainly road cycling but in the last 10 years she has become a keen mountain biker. Although she no longer competes in sport she is fully aware of the effects that sport has on the body and how much massage can help with recovery, performance and maintenance.

Another of Edwina’s passions in life is complementary therapies, in particular Reflexology and Aromatherapy, in which she is trained to a professional and clinical standard. She has since specialised in fertility and maternity reflexology.

Edwina joined Relief Chiropractic Health Clinic as a Sports Massage Therapist in September 2015, and was promoted to Senior Level in May 2016.
