Swedish Body Massage
What is a Swedish Massage?
The primary goal of Swedish massage technique is to relax the entire body. This is accomplished by massaging the muscles with long gliding strokes in the direction of blood returning to the heart. However, Swedish body massage therapy goes beyond relaxation.

- Swedish massage treatments can range from light and gentle to heavier pressures
Swedish body massage involves the use of oils on the skin with various massage strokes which relieve tension and warm up muscle tissue. This gradual process helps to relieve adhesions among other muscular tension. You will start by laying on your front with you spine in a neutral position. This massage will generally start with your back and will move onto the backs of your legs before turning you on your back. The massage finishes with the front of each leg, both arms and then your neck and shoulders. You may ask your therapists to focus on particular areas depending on your needs.
It is not recommended that you undertake this therapy while of ill health.
